We sell media placements. That is a commercial interest in the subject this site writes about, and the honest thing to do is state it at the top of the page rather than in a disclaimer at the bottom. This page sets out who writes what you read here, how we decide what to publish, and what we will not do.
Who writes what you read
The articles on this blog
Everything published under the Rublovka Media journal is written by our own team, from the work we do placing articles for clients. Where an article states a market range, a timeline or a practice, it reflects what we see in the catalogue we operate and in the quotes our clients bring us from elsewhere. Where we are uncertain, we say so in the text rather than rounding an estimate into a fact.
The articles we place for clients
Placement articles are written by journalists who are native speakers of the publication's language and who know its register and its house rules. The client approves the final text before it is submitted. The publication's own editors apply their standards on top of ours, and they can and do reject work that does not meet them.
Disclosure
Some of the placements we arrange run as ordinary editorial articles. Others run under a sponsored, partner content or contributor label applied by the publication. Both are legitimate, and they are different products.
Our rule is that the status of every title is stated in the catalogue before an order is placed, never discovered afterwards. We do not describe a labelled article as though a newsroom chose the subject independently, and we do not encourage clients to do so either. The reasoning is set out at length in editorial or sponsored, how to tell what you are buying.
What we do not do
- We do not promise search rankings. No vendor controls Google's results. We commit to a publication, a link and verified indexing, which are things we can actually deliver and you can actually check.
- We do not present paid placement as earned coverage. A journalist deciding independently to write about you is a different outcome, and we say so.
- We do not publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials. There are none anywhere on this site.
- We do not claim outlets we cannot deliver. If a title is not available for your sector or your market, we say so and charge nothing for the answer.
- We do not write anything a publication's editors would be misled by. Placements are arranged openly with the outlets and contributors we work with.
Sourcing and figures
Prices, timelines and catalogue figures on this site describe our own operations and the market as we observe it. They move, sometimes quickly, so we date what we publish and revise it rather than leaving an old number standing. Where an article cites an external practice or rule, it names it plainly enough that you can verify it yourself.
Every placement we deliver comes with a report containing the live URL, the outlet, the publication date, the link and its attribute, and confirmation of indexing. That report is the evidence behind any claim we make about our own delivery.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Write to contact@rublovkamedia.com with the page and what is inaccurate. We answer within 24 hours on working days, and we change the page rather than arguing about it. Substantive corrections are reflected in the revision date at the top of the affected page.
Our conflict of interest, stated plainly
Almost every article on this blog touches a service we sell. That is a reason to read us sceptically, and we would rather you did. It is also why we publish the parts of this market that do not flatter us: what paid placement cannot do for your search rankings, why a wire release is not coverage, and the questions that expose a bad vendor, including the ones that would expose us.
If an article here ever reads as though the only reasonable conclusion is to buy from us, we have written it badly. Tell us and we will fix it.
